Maddox Webster in "All Jumped Out"
The Jumper was a great investment and has already paid for itself in entertainment and exercise.
In the following short film our little star, Maddox Webster, has had a long 30-45 minutes jumping, screaming, drooling, laughing, spinning, and blowing raspberries. That much action could wear out even a grown-up... enjoy...

I want everyone to know that as soon as we were done taking pictures and video-ing we put him to bed in his crib... the torture was short-lived.

Maddox's FIRST TOOTH (teeth)
Maddox has been working on getting some teeth to come in and this morning I finally can see and feel the edge of his first one!
The pictures aren't great, because they're challenging to take. He moves to fast and does NOT like it when his face is messed with (likely because he's had a cold and Mom - aka the devil- has been using the nasal aspirator to suction the snot out... I'm not his favorite person this week :)
But his teeth are so cute :) The two in the middle on the bottom. Classic :)

He LOVES these teething biscuits we got him.... he gets VERY upset when he drops it and can't find it again.

Tim trying to pry open the steel trap...

GET OFF ME DAD!!!!

There it is! On the right (his left). It just looks like a swollen white spot, but up close you can see the edge of it poppin' out of his gums! The one right next to it is coming right behind it! :)

Island Bound!
Hi All!
The wind has once again filled our sails and this time takes us north to the San Juan Islands, where I grew up.
On Orcas Island, where the ferry docks- right across the harbor there is another smaller island called Shaw. I spent a lot of time on Shaw when I was in high school because I had friends who lived there and I am still friends with those people today. It is those friends, (who are really more like family), who have pulled the strings to make it possible for Tim and I to move and live on Shaw and make a decent living. We're not sure how long we'll be there... (6 months, 1 year, 2 years?) we'll stay until we decide it's time to leave, whatever the reason may be. We move the first of April.
We still have our eyes set on Bellingham as a "Final Destination" but are waiting for the right circumstances to cross our path that will make it a smooth transition. For now, Shaw is perfect!
I learned that the house we will be taking care of and living in has a rain collection system that flushes the toilets... so cool!!! Tim and I will both work for Del and Laurie's construction company, Tim doing maintenance and construction; house cleaning for me! Woods and nature for Maddox!
Maddox is doing GREAT! I can't believe he is already 5 months old! He is still the happiest baby I've ever experienced. We recently bought a jumper that hangs from the doorway and it is the greatest invention EVER! He LOVES it and will jump in it for HOURS... he squeals and and blows raspberries with his lips while he jumps and chews on his hands and toys. His first teeth are slowly making their way through his gums, but haven't surfaced yet. So far he's taking it most excellently!
Here are some pictures and some more movies! :)

Here is a short movie of Maddox being stoked because he's naked! He loves to have his clothes off and loves the bath. I taught him how to splash and ever since he goes crazy in the bathtub. I love this video because it shows how happy he gets.
Okay here is Maddoxin his jumper, dancing to the music. Watch carefully, as he totally poses, Hollywood Style... he works up to it and gets into position and then at 24 seconds he pokes his little leg out and looks at the camera and then the music plays the little horn... it cracks me up...
Maddox blowing blubbery raspberries... it's his new trick. It started out as a very spitty- almost machine gun type of noise... now it's more a Roger Rabbit "pll------eaaase Eddie?!"

NEW Family Update!
Hi everyone!!! Long-time-no-post, I know- and I'm sorry! Hope we didn't have anyone worried.
We have landed safely in Seattle (Mountlake Terrace area right off of 236th) and things are going as expected. We hit a couple of road blocks but have successfully avoided collision and are making headway in small steps.
Tim was able to get some hours at Williams-Sonoma, and we were both fortunate enough to get some hours put in with some friends of mine on Shaw (thanks again Del and Laurie! You guys are the best!)- so we're staying afloat but are motivated to get our own place.
We'd really love to end up in Bellingham, but finding work up there has been very challenging. There are thousands of people looking for jobs and much less than thousands of available jobs. So we may end up staying in Seattle for a few months since that's where there seems to be more work. Hopefully there will be more and more projects up on Shaw that will come up to help supplement, and if we're lucky- there may even be a nice little deal where we could live there for awhile. But only time will tell! I may have an opportunity to do some babysitting for a woman up in Bellingham for some extra money as well- so we're making it work for the time being! :)
Until we catch the next metaphorical "train" to wherever we seem to be going, we are very grateful to our friends Joe and Shawnna for welcoming us into their home, and to their daughter, Emma, for giving up her room so that we can have our own space. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Maddox is doing GREAT! He is getting bigger and bigger and all of his way-too-cute clothes are getting too small!!! The one lesson I have learned is that you DO NOT need as many clothes as they tell you! Yes, they do go through up to three outfits a day- but do regular people not do laundry or something? Because I have clothes coming out of my ears, and before I can get to the end of the pile of cute onesies, Tim has already done laundry and I have ALL of his clothes clean again. Point being- I have a lot of clothes that he wore once or twice and then grew out of... it's just stupid. Six super-cute outfits is PLENTY!
He is starting to roll over and is getting his head higher and higher during tummy time. He moves--- or sort of scoots... but is not yet crawling. He's teething, but they haven't yet cut through the gums... but he has very strong jaws and loves knuckles! He drools like the dog from Turner and Hooch and needs a bib on most of the day. He's the giggliest, smiliest baby EVER! Still very good, not fussy at all, is sleeping better during the night--- he even avoided the stomach flu that BOTH Tim and I caught after returning to MLT from Shaw... how he managed to do that is amazing to me! Tim and I were really sick for about 2 days and Maddox was just fine- laughing and kicking and squeeling while Tim and I slept.
We started giving him some bananas after we noticed him watching us eat so intently you could feel the heat of his stare burning into your food as you put it in your mouth. He LOVES bananas! We mixed it with a little bit of rice cereal and breastmilk and he goes "bananas" over it! Once we knew the bananas and rice went through okay we tried some applesauce. He LOVES applesauce too!! And I'm amazed at how much of it he will eat! He goes crazy for it! I've had the "food in the mouth with the sneeze" experience, as well as the "let's see if I can spit this entire mouth of food at mom when she's not looking" experience... fun times... I can't help but crack up- applesauce in my hair and eyelashes... being a mom is really a lot of fun, despite the amount of work it is.
Everyone is healthy and doing well- just doing what it takes to rebuild, as we knew we'd have to do. We both have a positive attitude, a realistic outlook, and a motivated spirit so we're confident that we'll be sitting pretty in no time! :) We are just happy to have each other and our friends and family to help us out!

Cheers to everyone!
Here's a video of Maddox CRACKIN' UP at me. I'm just shaking my head back and forth with my mouth open... for some reason he loves it, and only when I do it... fun times!
In this video Maddox is in his crib squealing away!! I gasp at the end because I spilled my beer on the bed... Maddox was squealing like this for about 15 minutes total, the video only shows about 4 minutes of that... he is so funny...
Here is Tim playing with Maddox. Like I said- he's the giggliest little squealer! I'm going to try to get some video of him doing his little chuckle, but it's challenging. Nine times out of ten, when he sees the camera he clams up and just stares at the camera. You'll notice in some of the videos where Tim and I will notice or comment that he's seen the camera.

Family Update & More Pix & Vids of Our Big Boy!
Hi friends and family! Winter has arrived and the Holiday's have passed and Tim and I are about 50% done packing for our move to Seattle! Keep your fingers crossed that the Siskiyou Passes are clear when we make our way through! We land in Seattle on the 19th of January and will be staying with friends while we search for the perfect place, which will be exciting and challenging. There are a lot of dumps in Seattle and having lived there before I know how important it is that you have a safe, clean, bright, and warm place to call your own.
Maddox is growing so fast! "They" aren't lying when "they" tell you that kids grow up really, really fast! He has a few new tricks up his sleeve. He has learned how to scream out of excitement and thinks it's pretty funny. We have yet to get it on video because it's a random occurrence that we haven't been able to re-create on camera... but it's pretty funny. He also is learning the letter "T", or more likely- how to spit :) He will sit there are just go "T-T-T-T-T-T".... spit bubbles a-brewin! He is a slobber machine! Sometimes a series of "T's" will turn into a sort of rolling of the tongue on the top pallet that sounds much like a machine-gun sound effect done by a 6 year old... those can get messy. He also does this sort of annoyed/excited/irritated cough thing like he's clearing his throat because people are talking over him.... it's hysterical... He's very vocal and very spitty and has a LOT of energy.
He is also SO CLOSE to crawling it's scary. During "tummy time" he is able to scoot himself about 2 feet in no particular direction... it very much resembles the military stealth crawl... very cute... he's getting there... so quickly in fact that I'm not sure I want to encourage him so much! HHAAH!!! My "free time" is going to be gone before I know it!
Enjoy the pix and the new videos! :)
