The only thing new to report (which is HUGE) is that..... WE FOUND A NANNY! It's truly a miracle!! Long story short, I was forwarded her post on craigslist from a complete stranger (thank you Heidi!) and we connected, and she is absolutely the EXACT person I was looking for!
Her name is Dawn, she is a geriatric nurse who said she was looking for some more adventure and excitement in her life before she needed to be assisted herself. She is my mom's age (I won't out you guys ;) and is so friggin' cool! :) The coolest part is the fact that she is willing to work for practically nothing, and in our home- no less. I told her that my dad always used to say "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is..." so out of just being "trained" to think that way- I'm semi waiting for something to happen that will take her away from us- but keeping a positive attitude and believing in the fact that "good things happen to good people" and this is just my blessing!!
So THANK YOU DAWN!!! You are our angel! I still can't believe you're willing to do this for us... but am SO GRATEFUL that you are. I hope to share many, many fun memories with you and our new addition!
Also- the baby shower is September 6th at 1pm at our house. Every box of diapers and/or wipes will get a raffle ticket for a $25 gift certificate at Bath & Body Works :) We'll play games, but it's really going to be a BBQ/get together for all my homies :) Very casual, and boys, kids and dogs are welcome :) Boys will not be obligated to play the shower games, unless they want to. We will have beer, food and music- but please bring a snack or your favorite beverage (adult beverages are more than welcome, even though I can't partake) to share, cuz funds are tight and we won't have enough stuff for EVERYONE.... so it's first come first serve for what we provide... HAH!
