The First Entry!

Hello to everyone! If you're here, it's because I sent you a link and you're interested in staying abreast of Tim and my pregnancy. How blessed are we to have so many people who care :)

We are officially at 14 weeks today (although as I have expressed to some of you my confusion on the subject, this "+/- 2 weeks" thing kind of throws me off). My due date is Sept. 25th, but I will say now- that I do believe this will be a "late" baby, and will be born in October- but only time will tell!

So far, I am happy to report that pregnancy, for me, has been a breeze! I had some mild morning sickness around weeks 9-12, but as some of you know me better than others you'll know that we've shared hangovers worse than the morning sickness I did experience; so it was a piece of cake! I drank my ginger tea in the morning, and ate my crackers! There was a week or two during that period when the only thing I could manage to "be hungry for" was Coca-Cola, and Hebrew National hot dogs. Today, I will eat just about anything- just about anytime :) I've been very good though!

I've been mixing up my smoothies in the morning with my fruit and veggie powder (NanoGreens), along with my protein powder (NanoPro); and since I work on the "inside", I've had the liberty of also mixing in NanOmega- our new "Golden Flax, with Vegan DHA and Synergistic Vitamins" AKA: Omega-3s, fiber, and folic acid :) I mix all those up with DHA fortified organic whole milk and half a banana with some ice every morning and that usually holds me over until about 9-9:30... and then it's bagel and cream cheese time. In between my bagel and lunch- I usually end up putting down an orange and an apple. Lunch time rolls around by 1-2pm- and I either have a BIG salad with chicken, or salmon, or I do peanut butter and jelly. Occasionally- when I'm feeling a big naughty- I'll hit up Fudruckers for a big juicy burger, or ToGo's for a turkey avocado sammy! :) So eating hasn't become the plot of my life as of yet- and I'm happy to report that I've only gained 6 lbs so far- and no crazy cravings as of yet!

Tim and I are anxious to find out what we'll be having! Although we are open to what is given to us- we are hoping for a girl. If she is a girl we'll name her Izelle Marley Webster, and she will likely grow up being called Izzy :) If we are blessed with a little boy, we are going to call him Maddox Ronin Webster.

The name Izelle is a modified/stolen name :) Tim was really pushing for Isabelle so he could call her "Izzy", and I just couldn't go for it. I liked Izzy, but not Isabelle. Isabelle is a Spanish name in my mind, and I see a pink frilly dress and a whole-lotta attitude when I think of naming my child Isabelle- it's also one of 2008's most popular girl names, and I did not want a popular name. Then I remembered this restaurant in south Seattle that my friend Riannon and Meredith used to RAVE about called "Ezelle's Famous Chicken"- and it hit me like a ton of bricks! Izelle- with an "I". Beautiful :) I'm happy, Tim's happy, and Izzy Marley is just the cutest name for a little mixed baby if I ever heard one!

I chose the name Maddox because it is strong sounding to me- different enough- but not so different that you can't spell it or pronounce it- and I will likely end up using "Max" for short on occasion :) Tim liked it at first suggestion, and we haven't found anything that we like better so far. So Maddox it is!

For now we call the baby "Peanut". And Peanut already has a cute little onesie that says Peanut on it :)

I think that's about it! Here is a picture of my belly. I can honestly admit that most of this is just belly fat, and not baby belly... or what I like to call my "protective layer". :) But the little "pooch" above my belly button has gotten bigger and is slowly moving up into my abdomen.

Cheers!
